Numberphiles
July 22-26, 2024
Numberphiles is a week-long math day camp for middle school students, hosted by CeMaST. This camp provides a stimulating and supportive environment for young people to develop their mathematical ability and interest. Participants solve exciting mathematics problems, interact with peers who share an interest in mathematics, and work with college students who are earning their degrees from Illinois State University. Participants will see the creative, discovery-driven side of mathematics. By showing them some of the ways mathematicians approach problems, this camp hopes to encourage students to have fun and discover how mathematics can be a creative endeavor.
Cost: Camps are $140/child/week, or $260/child/week if a child is enrolled in both Numberphiles and Collaboratory Scientists. Enrollment fees include all camp activities, a t-shirt, and snacks. After registration, Oleysa Courier will email a secure link to you to complete payment. Payment must be completed by July 1st to hold your child’s spot in the camp(s). A limited number of scholarships are available to participants who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch or whose family income is at or below the median income for Illinois.
