Resources for ISU Faculty

  • Inclusive Excellence STEM Fellowship

The Inclusive Excellence STEM Fellowship is a program funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute that supports STEM faculty in making the introductory STEM experience at ISU welcoming and supportive. The Fellowship is both an honor that recognizes commitment to broadening representation in STEM disciplines as well as support for faculty who wish to provide more equitable and inclusive instruction in courses that are foundational to one or more STEM degree program(s).

  • Broader Impacts Support

CeMaST supports ISU community members as they seek funding opportunities to use their STEM expertise to solve societal problems. Accomplishing this goal usually comes in the form of aiding in the creation of grant proposals and facilitating networking opportunities that enable strong “broader impacts” of grant-funded projects.

  • Project EDDIE

Project EDDIE (Environmental Data-Driven Inquiry & Exploration), led locally by Drs. Catherine O'Reilly and Rebekka Darner, partners with the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) at Carleton College to provide professional development to faculty who want to use authentic datasets to improve students' quantitative reasoning skills.

  • Professional Development for STEM Faculty

CeMaST is pleased to provide a variety of workshops and resources for STEM instructors' professional development.
