Applications for the 2026 ISURE are now CLOSED! We will begin sending out acceptance letters to applicants during the week of 5/18-5/22. Please note that there are far more applicants than available spots.
In order to apply for the 2026 ISURE you must:
- Be enrolled as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in high school during the 2026–2027 school year.
- Submit your application by May 17, 2026.
The scholarship application is embedded within the program application linked below. If applying for the scholarship, you will need to provide documentation of income status which can be a variety of things, such as a letter or email from the students school confirming qualification for free or reduced-price lunch or a tax return showing family income is less than the state median income.
Students will be asked to answer the following questions (Maximum: 250 words/each)
- Why are you interested in participating in this research experience?
- What does it mean to "do" research?
- Describe one highlight of your high school career that you are most proud of - this can be something academic, social, or from an extracurricular activity.
- In 10 years, what career do you see yourself being in?
