The mission of CeMaST is to stimulate, conduct, and support integrative science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education activities and scholarship. CeMaST's Goals are aligned with Illinois State University's strategic plan, Educating Illinois 2013-2018: Individualized Attention, Shared Aspirations.
The Centers at Illinois State involved in STEM are The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) and The Center for Renewable Energy.
The CeMaST network includes the CeMaST Management Team, CeMaST Staff, CeMaST Fellows, STEM Education Contacts, and other CeMaST Collaborators.
The CeMaST Newsletter is a newsletter distributed within the Illinois State University community and beyond. It includes news and feature stories about faculty and staff, current CeMaST initiatives, and various CeMaST-sponsored events.

CeMaST was founded in 1991 to assist in integrating efforts of diverse departments, drawn from different colleges in the university, in meeting the needs of Illinois schools in addressing issues related to mathematics, science, and technology education. Since 1991, CeMaST has been building a national reputation for developing and supporting successful projects and activities around STEM education.
