The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) promotes excellence in the teaching and the learning of science, technology, and mathematics education at Illinois State University. As new discoveries and technological advances continue to flourish, STEM education becomes high priority for training the leaders of tomorrow. CeMaST works with government agencies, schools, local groups and campus faculty to provide educational programs and opportunities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Illinois State University and the U.S. Department of Energy, both recognize America's increasing need for energy, and have jointly created the Center for Renewable Energy. The purpose of the Center is to support the renewable energy major, provide information to the public on the Illinois renewable energy community, and encourage applied research within renewable energy at Illinois State University. The Center also supports education, research, and outreach.
