Travel Award
The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Travel Awards are available for faculty interested in meeting with a program officer at a funding agency to gain valuable information to make their proposals more competitive. Awards of up to $1,000 are available and are subject to approval by the CeMaST Leadership Team. Travel Awards are contingent upon availability each fiscal year.
Travel Award Guidelines
- To receive a CeMaST Travel Award complete the Proposal Outline Form and the Travel Award Application.
- Submit both forms to with the Subject Line: Travel Award.
- Applications will be reviewed by the CeMaST Leadership Team.
- Notifications will be provided within two weeks of submission.
- If awarded, schedule your travel arrangements with CeMaST personnel. All travel arrangements are to be made at least two weeks in advance.
- Travel vouchers and invoices should be completed and submitted for payment immediately following travel and should have appropriate receipts and documentation attached. All expenses must adhere to University and State travel guidelines.
- Upon return, meet with the CeMaST Director to report the outcomes of your meeting.
Research and Sponsored Programs also provides Travel Awards to enhance competitive grant proposals. RSP will provide travel support funds to faculty or staff wishing to meet with agency program officers or collaborators at other institutions.
